Engineering is one of the oldest profession in the education industry. However, it is still the most required and appreciated one as life is hard to imagine without technology and technology is a gift from engineers.
Engineering courses are available at undergraduate, diploma, postgraduate and doctorate levels.
The undergraduate course is a 4-year full time which begins after 10+2 examination passed with a PCM group from a recognized board of education. Similarly, the post-graduation is of 2 years and you should have the master degree to pursue PhD.
Admission in UG and PG can be taken via entrance examination. To seek admission in NITs and other engineering colleges, you need to clear JEE main and for IITs, you need to appear in JEE Advanced as well. However, there are few states that value their own entrance exams.
For M.Tech, you need to appear in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). And some state level entrance exams are also conducted for PG.
